Do you offer a guarantee?
Do you provide the outfits or do I bring them?
Absolutely - I don’t think you should do business with anyone who doesn't guarantee their work! Your investment will come with peace of mind.
My goal is to exceed your expectation in every way! If things don’t go as well as you or I would like, I will do whatever is necessary to make things right, or I will refund your money back. My business depends on treating people right and providing great professional photography. I want you to feel totally secure in your choice and your investment. That’s just how I work!
You are responsible for bringing what you want to wear to the shoot. For a 2-3 hour shoot, I recommend bringing 6 simple outfits. If the outfits are more complex (garters, corsets etc.), I recommend 4 outfits. I also have some studio wardrobe (but only in standard sizes), as well as shoes in case you need them.
We will discuss this at our consultation call or meeting, most clients like to bring a few items they have previously tried on and know fit well. However, I do have several options and you are welcome to borrow from the studio wardrobe too.
What is boudoir photography?
Who will be present during my shoot? Can I bring my friends or my significant other to the shoot?
Boudoir photography is a style of photography that celebrates the unique femininity that all women possess. The term boudoir is a French word for a women’s dressing room. A boudoir session captures a woman in an intimate setting. You can choose to be as demure or risqué as you want. Pajamas are just as sexy as garters and corsets and it’s up to you as to what level you want to take it to. And I will be there to coach you every step of the way.
When you arrive, I will be there in addition to my hair and makeup artists. Not having other people at the shoot allows for our relationship and trust to develop without the influence of others, making for better pictures that have deeper meaning. However, if you have a special friend you really want at the shoot, we can definitely make an exception. Sometimes its more fun to have a good girlfriend with you!
How far in advance should I plan the shoot if I want to give a gift?
What does a boudoir shoot entail?
Generally 6-8 weeks before the date that you want to present the gift. However, I can turn around products faster (depending on the product) if need be. Let me know of any time constraints and I will do the best I can to get you the final product in time.
A boudoir shoot consists of the following steps: A pre-shoot consultation or phone conversation where we get to know one another, followed by the photo shoot. Next, we have a post-shoot reveal session in which I show you the images we took, and we pick your favorite images and your final product.
Should I wait to get a shoot done or just jump in?
How long will it take for me to see my images?
Just jump in! Often women tell me they would love to have a shoot, but first they want to lose weight, or they don't have the courage to have their picture taken right now, but one day will. The time to celebrate yourself is now, just as you are!
You don't need to lose 10 pounds or wait until you feel super strong to do a shoot. Boudoir photography is intimate and requires vulnerability, and is generally out of most people's comfort zones. But I promise you we will have a blast! Research has shown that pushing outside of your comfort zone is one of the keys to growth. Feeling fear is normal, but we work through it together, and you emerge stronger and more confident than ever.
Generally we schedule your viewing for 1-2 weeks after the shoot.
Do I need a deposit to reserve a date for my photo shoot?
Yes, I need your session fee paid in full to secure your date. Your date is not guaranteed until the session fee is paid in full.
Do you take credit cards and/or do you offer a payment plan?
What should I do to prep for a shoot?
Yes, I accept credit cards and offer an in house payment plan. However, delivery of products are not made until the final payment has been made.
Once we settle on a date, I will send you my Boudoir Prep Guide, which includes information on what to wear and the different styles that are available. I'm also available at all times via phone, text or email to answer specific questions or give an opinion. This is my area of expertise! I will help you every step of the way and make sure that your experience is as easy and enjoyable as possible.
How long does a boudoir session last?
Do you offer a gift certificates?
A typical boudoir session lasts 2-4 hours, including hair and makeup. While many photographers rush through their sessions I prefer to take my time with you to ensure that we get pictures that reflect your true beauty and grace. Typically I like to start hair and makeup around 9, and you will be finished by 1:00pm at the latest.
Yes, gift certificates are available and can be purchased at any time.
Do you share my images with the public?
Where do the sessions take place?
Your images are completely private unless you sign a model release that allows me to use them for promotional purpose which will help empower other women! Your images will never be shared without your written permission. That's my Promise!!!
Sessions can take place at my studio, a hotel, at your home, or outdoors. It's up to you what look you are going for, and I will help you define that. Most of my clients like to come to my studio in Fort Lee NJ and we shoot there. However, I am open to other locations, we can talk about whatever works for you!
